Dr. Katie Nash graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2008 and worked in small animal general and emergency practices in both the private sphere and in academia for several years before undertaking further training. Katie completed a rotating internship at Queensland Veterinary Specialists in 2013 and attained Diplomate status in the American College of Emergency and Critical Care through Auburn University in 2017. She then spent several years in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona before returning to Australia where she is now back at the University of Queensland Small Animal Hospital. In the past Katie had the great privilege of serving the AVHTM as a director-at-large and then as a member of the Board of Directors. She thoroughly enjoyed being part of this association and have found this community such a vital resource for practicing clinicians. Her interests include all aspects of small animal transfusion medicine, fibrinolytic disorders, thrombocytopathies, polytrauma, and post-arrest care.
